At Just Gymnastics, we are committed to creating a safe, positive, inclusive and enjoyable environment for all gymnasts, families, coaches and visitors. We aim to provide high-quality gymnastics sessions where every child feels supported, respected and encouraged to achieve their potential.

Just Gymnastics follows the policies, guidance and standards set out by British Gymnastics, including safeguarding, health and safety, and welfare procedures.

Our Expectations -

All gymnasts, parents/guardians, coaches and visitors are expected to:

  • Treat everyone with kindness, respect and consideration at all times.

  • Promote a positive and supportive atmosphere within the club.

  • Follow all club rules, policies and coach instructions.

  • Respect the facilities, equipment and property of Just Gymnastics.

  • Arrive on time and ready to participate safely.

  • Wear suitable clothing for gymnastics and ensure long hair is tied back securely.

  • Remove all jewellery before taking part in sessions.

  • Inform a coach of any injuries, medical conditions or concerns before participating.

  • Use appropriate language and behaviour at all times.

  • Respect the privacy and welfare of all children and staff.

Parents & Guardians

Parents and guardians are asked to:

  • Ensure children are dropped off and collected promptly.

  • Inform the club in advance if somebody different is collecting their child.

  • Remain outside the gym unless invited in for specific events such as Watching Week or trials.

  • Support coaches and staff in maintaining a positive environment.

  • Avoid distracting gymnasts during sessions.

  • Raise any concerns respectfully and directly with club management.

Behaviour Expectations

The following behaviour will not be tolerated:

  • Bullying, intimidation or discrimination of any kind.

  • Aggressive, abusive or inappropriate behaviour towards gymnasts, parents, coaches or staff.

  • Unsafe behaviour that places others at risk.

  • Disruptive behaviour during classes.

  • Unauthorised photography or filming within the gym.

Any serious or repeated breaches of this Code of Conduct may result in suspension or removal from sessions and/or club membership.

Safeguarding & Welfare

The welfare and safety of all children is our highest priority. All concerns relating to safeguarding or welfare will be taken seriously and managed in line with British Gymnastics safeguarding procedures.

Health & Safety

All participants must follow the instructions of coaches at all times to help ensure a safe training environment. Only authorised coaches and staff may move or set up equipment unless instructed otherwise.

Safe Guarding Policy

At Just Gymnastics, the welfare and safety of all children and young people is our highest priority.

We are committed to providing a safe, positive and enjoyable environment where all gymnasts feel protected, valued and supported. Just Gymnastics follows the safeguarding policies and guidance set out by British Gymnastics.

All coaches and staff are expected to:

  • Maintain appropriate professional boundaries at all times.

  • Treat all gymnasts fairly and with respect.

  • Promote the wellbeing and confidence of every child.

  • Report any safeguarding or welfare concerns appropriately.

  • Follow club safeguarding procedures and British Gymnastics guidance.

Any safeguarding concerns will be treated seriously, confidentially and handled in line with British Gymnastics safeguarding procedures.

Drop-Off and Collection Policy

  • The gym doors will open approximately 10 minutes before the start of each session.

  • Gymnasts should arrive promptly and be collected on time.

  • Parents/guardians must ensure a coach is aware when their child arrives and leaves.

  • Children should not be left unattended outside the building before sessions begin.

  • Parents are expected to wait outside during sessions unless invited in for specific events or trials.

  • If someone different is collecting your child, the club must be informed in advance.

  • For safeguarding reasons, doors may be locked shortly after sessions begin.

Photography and Social Media Policy

At Just Gymnastics, we aim to protect the privacy and welfare of all gymnasts.

  • Photography and filming are not permitted during sessions without prior permission from club management.

  • During events such as Watching Week or competitions, limited photography may be allowed for personal use only.

  • Images or videos must not be shared in a way that could cause distress or compromise the privacy of others.

  • Coaches and staff may occasionally take photos/videos for club promotional purposes, social media or marketing. Consent preferences provided during registration will always be respected.

  • Any inappropriate use of photography or social media may result in removal from the club.

Behaviour and Discipline Policy

Just Gymnastics aims to provide a positive and supportive environment for everyone.

We expect all gymnasts, parents, coaches and visitors to behave respectfully at all times.

The following behaviour is not acceptable:

  • Bullying, intimidation or discrimination.

  • Disruptive or unsafe behaviour during sessions.

  • Aggressive or abusive language or behaviour.

  • Damage to equipment or facilities.

  • Behaviour that negatively affects the experience or safety of others.

Where behaviour concerns arise, the club may:

  1. Speak with the gymnast and/or parent.

  2. Issue a verbal or written warning.

  3. Suspend participation temporarily.

  4. Remove membership where necessary.

Any serious incidents will be managed at the discretion of club management.

TERMS & CONDITIONS / PAYMENT POLICY

Booking & Payments

  • All classes must be booked in advance through the club booking system.

  • Fees must be paid by the stated deadline to secure a place.

  • A booking fee may apply per term.

  • Failure to make payment may result in loss of the gymnast’s place.

Cancellations & Refunds

  • Fees are non-refundable once a term has started unless exceptional circumstances apply.

  • Missed sessions are not transferable or refundable.

  • If the club cancels a session, an alternative session or credit may be offered where possible.

Membership

  • All gymnasts must hold valid British Gymnastics membership where required.

  • It is the parent/guardian’s responsibility to ensure membership details and emergency contact information remain up to date.

Health & Medical Information

  • Parents/guardians must inform the club of any medical conditions, injuries or additional support needs.

  • Gymnasts should not attend sessions if unwell or unable to participate safely.

Clothing & Jewellery

  • Suitable gymnastics clothing must be worn at all times.

  • All jewellery must be removed before participation.

  • Long hair must be tied back securely.

Club Rights

Just Gymnastics reserves the right to:

  • Refuse entry to anyone behaving inappropriately.

  • Amend policies, class times or coaching arrangements where necessary.

  • Remove membership where conduct or behaviour breaches club policies.
